Musings from my alter-ego on TheGardenForums

Note: After I posted this on TheGardenForums, several days later I just decided to give up on the simple-minded, bull-headedness and egotistical rhetoric there by just a couple of self-absorbed and hate-spewing, contentious spammers. Those spiteful no-nothings ruined, for me, what was a great forum...surely their intentions.

A parting comment on my signature: Humility in the face of contemptuousness from unspeakably rude, egotistical, exploitive, revengeful and repulsively glory-greedy wanna-be's who just ain't got nothing else to do until old Beezlebub reassigns them to something more worthwhile...like stoking the fires on the Styx .



Whenever the weather gets bad, or things get slow on this, an award-winning place to spread the word and other BS, it's time to rouse that sleeping dog awake for some more lively banter...maybe even slanderous and/or libel-worthy.

And what sleeping dog is that?

The one aroused when a semi-famous nationally syndicated organic gardening guru takes the logical, correct, and only rational side about injecting the stuff of life....aeration, oh yes, aeration...into the production of compost tea (in this case, vermi-compost tea).

That very same aeration that a bunch of ya'll swear by for every single living thing in the universe...every compost pile, every worm bin, every plant and animal thing on earth,...except living, breathing compost that you've spent all that back-breaking time trying to keep from becoming anaerobic only to drown in a bucket of water before dumping the lifeless glop of sludge on your plants.

That aeration that produces AeratedVermiCompostTea that some of you of skeptical mind and nature have, on occasion, half-heartedly attempted to brew, slopped around on some growth, woke up to find to be a dismal failure because the fruit trees, flowers, veggies, and grass hadn't fruited, flowered, veggied, or greened up during the night like Jack's beanstalk. Yes, that aeration.

I'm referring, of course, to Howard Garrett, a legend in his own time. Star of the world wide web, radio, and the newsprint bidness. A man who can grow anything except hair on his head, and mortal enemy of the petro-chemical driven fertilizer/insectacide/fungicide/environmental weapons of mass destruction industry.
